Metro Aviation is proud to announce that Anthony Fountain has been promoted to Operational Control Center Manager.

Anthony joined Metro just over three years ago as an Operational Control Center Specialist, and from day one, he has brought exceptional dedication to safety, communication, and operational excellence. His leadership has strengthened team cohesion, elevated operational standards, and contributed to the reliability and performance our partners depend on.

Before joining Metro, Anthony served 22 years in Operational Meteorology with the United States Air Force, where he led teams across global theaters—including Southwest Asia, Europe, Africa, and the U.S.—supporting aviation missions with precision forecasting and real-time operational decision support. His Air Force career included managing a 21-person operations center overseeing flight operations at 135 locations, guiding weather-driven mission planning, implementing forecasting improvements, and safeguarding personnel and assets across multiple continents.

Throughout his time at Metro, Anthony has demonstrated strong critical thinking and sound judgment, along with excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.  Metro looks forward to his continued leadership and the positive impact he will make in this new role.
